Your privacy matters.
This policy explains what Paul Begley Safe AI collects, why we use it, and the choices available to you. It applies to paulbegley.ai and the Paul Begley Safe AI service.

Information we collect
We collect the information needed to provide your membership and conversations. This can include your email address, sign-in provider, addressing preference, saved conversations, folders, writing drafts, membership status, usage totals, and support messages you send us. A saved news discussion can include the link to the story you selected.
We also collect limited technical measurements such as response timing, error status, AI token and cost totals, recent activity timestamps, and a short-lived account identifier used to estimate unique and simultaneous users. These operational records do not include the words in your questions or answers.
Stripe processes payments and may collect billing and payment information. Paul Begley Safe AI does not store your full card number.
Google and Apple sign-in data
If you choose Google or Apple sign-in, that provider sends us basic account information you authorize, generally a verified email address and an account identifier. We use this information only to authenticate you, protect your account, and connect the sign-in method to your Paul Begley Safe AI membership.
When a verified provider email matches an existing account, our authentication service links the new sign-in method to that same account to help prevent duplicates. Apple may provide a private relay address if you select Hide My Email; in that case, it may not match an account created with your regular email.
We do not use Google or Apple account data for advertising, and we do not sell it. We do not request access to your contacts, files, calendar, or other Google or Apple services.
How we use information
- Provide secure sign-in, membership access, saved chats, and customer support.
- Generate AI responses and maintain conversation continuity.
- Process subscriptions and one-time usage purchases through Stripe.
- Protect the service, prevent abuse, monitor reliability, and improve performance.
- Meet legal, accounting, and security obligations.
AI processing and service providers
Your questions and relevant recent conversation context are sent to OpenAI to generate responses. When current research is needed, the service may also send a search request and use public web sources. Supabase provides authentication and data storage, Netlify hosts the application, Resend supports account email delivery, and Stripe processes payments. These providers process information for us under their own security and privacy terms.
Paul Begley Safe AI requests that OpenAI not store responses for product retrieval. Depending on the data controls available to this OpenAI project, OpenAI may retain limited API abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days. Do not submit passwords, full payment-card details, government identification numbers, or sensitive information that is not needed for your question.
Webinars and news
Mux delivers webinar recordings, captions, and playback images. Loading a recording connects your device to Mux and can provide technical information such as your IP address, browser information, and playback requests. Relevant webinar transcript excerpts may be sent to our AI provider to help answer a question.
Mediastack supplies news listings and excerpts. When you choose to discuss a story with Paul, the story link and your question are included in the AI conversation. Read full article opens the original publisher in another browser tab. Its page may load its own cookies, advertising, and other services under its privacy policy.
Sharing uses your device's sharing options or copies a link and invitation for you to send. We do not collect the recipient's contact information through that sharing feature.
Storage, retention, and security
Browser storage is used to keep you signed in and remember choices such as text size and AI mode. Turning off AI mode selects resource search without a new generated answer; existing captions and indexing remain in use. Webinar bookmarks, viewing progress, and study notes are currently saved for your account in that browser only; they do not automatically transfer to another device. Clearing browser data can remove them, so keep a separate copy of important notes. Other people with access to your device or browser profile may be able to access locally stored information.
Saved conversations remain available until you delete them or ask us to remove your account. Detailed chat-performance measurements are ordinarily retained for 14 days; account-linked presence measurements for about 2 days; aggregated health history for up to 90 days; and administrator authorization records for up to one year. Some billing, fraud-prevention, accounting, legal, and security records may be retained longer when required. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can promise absolute security.
Your choices
You may delete individual chats inside the service, sign out on any device, manage or cancel your subscription through the billing portal, or contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information. To change how you sign in, use another available method already connected to the same account or contact Help. An Apple private relay address and your regular email can belong to different accounts.
Children's privacy
The paid membership service is not directed to children under 13. A parent or legal guardian should supervise a minor's use of the service.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above will be revised when material updates are published. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to info@paulbegley.ai.
